So I’ve just recently quit smoking cigarettes and am going to take out a variable life insurance policy hopefully before the end of the year. How long does it take for the remnants of smoking to leave my system so I can expect to pay the lower rates for the life portion of the policy? I was a weekend only smoker, and have a relatively strong metabolism. Would it speed up the process to increase my workouts between now and when I apply for the policy? I’ve been told it is normally a urine test.

What if you wished you coud have met them at a differnt time in their life? Specifically what are you trying to justify to yourself? Or are you making a healthy decision? (some one asked this question in singles and dating bu tyou never get good answers over there, plus his really made me think about a time when i was rationalising with myself about a girl)
More Specifically, based on this wish I abandonded pursuing the relationship further.
For me personally it was detrimental phse behavior that a lot of young people go through. Honestly it was susbstance abuse, something I just really did not even want to deal with, but it seemed right on many other levels. I am just wondering people say you should comprimise, i have never believed that.
I wonder if I was being too judgemental of her substance abuse? And if that is something I should work on.

I am currently unemployed and collecting unemployment, and am planning on traveling to Central America.

I know I cannot collect unemployment while I am gone (probably one-two months). My question is, can I start collecting when I get back or will I no longer be eligible? What about my health insurance through COBRA? Can I continue to pay it while I am gone, so I will still have health insurance when I return?

My father passed away 3 weeks ago. He had 2 life insurance policies. We know the amounts of the policies. We know that my stepmom, my brother and I are beneficiaries, but we don’t know how much we are all getting. His large policy is waiting on toxicology and the final death certificate to determine eligibility. His small policy is supposed to be sending out info to beneficiaries, but I don’t know when. I’ve called the companies, but they won’t tell me anything, why is that?
Also, he did not have a will, and the policies we have don’t have beneficiary info in them.

Can someone fill me in on what being a brand new insurance agent for State Farm would be like?
I’m going to be fresh out of college and so far it seems like I would have to figure out my own office and all that.

Do you get to work under an experienced agent and then move up or how does it work?

I was injured at work. All the necessary workmans comp paper were filed, and am currently recieving physical therapy. If that does not work I will need surgery.
My question…I might take a job with another company, if I leave is my old place of employment obligated to continue paying whatever I may need for the injury I sustained while I was empolyed there? Or will their responsibilites cease once I leave?

Let’s say that you get life insurance and claim to be a non-smoker. Then let’s say that you start smoking or resume smoking. Assuming that your medical records show that you smoked, will most life insurance companies check your records, see that you smoked, and then cancel your benefit?
