I need more income since my husband recently passed away, I was wondering if annuities pay monthly from the start, I don’t know if fixed or Variable is better, I have 42,000 from mutual funds to invest
I called them today and they told me they don’t expect their rates to lower. They said there may be an increase soon.
So now I am confused? Has anyone called their insurance company? Is anyone’s insurance going to lower soon?
Specifically:to who could an elder home owner turn for claims help(on going delay with completion of covered damage and "coverage to be dropped "notice.
I live in Ohio, and may be moving in with a friend that does not have medical insurance. Is it possible to have her added to my medical plan? I get my coverage through work.
I am far away from retiring, but my company offers a pension for retirement. Is the pension only received if you retire with the company. For example, if I leave the company at age 50 instead of 65, am i still entitled to any pension benefits.
My husband and I went to go get him a life insurance policy today and they had previously asked us if he smoked cigarettes. So we admitted to him smoking cigarettes and understood that we would have to take the higher payments and rates. Then, next thing I know, after my agent gives my husband the oral saliva test to check for nicotine, I ask, "So if we admitted to him smoking, why do we need to take this test?" Finally, he admits that it is a drug test. We had just smoked a joint the night previous.
Anyway, the whole point is, if they come back with a positive for marijuana on him (which I’m sure they will) where do we go from here? Will we also lose our car insurance? Should I just switch to another company? I could really use some guidance here, I’m freaking out.
My drug use does not affect my life. I work full time, pay my bills, and have my priorities in order. I would like a serious answer. I am not here to be judged, nor do I judge others.
Thanks
"Lohman, a public health nurse who helps special-needs children, says she had always believed that her son’s life insurance funds were in a bank insured by the FDIC. That money — like billion in 1 million death-benefit accounts managed by insurers — wasn’t actually sitting in a bank.
It was being held in Prudential’s general corporate account, earning investment income for the insurer. Prudential paid survivors like Lohman 1 percent interest in 2008 on their Alliance Accounts, while it earned a 4.8 percent return on its corporate funds, according to regulatory filings."
