Ok…I want to give life insurance for myself and my daughter, but I have no idea where to begin. I heard that SGLI (military insurace) can cover family members, is this true? If so, what are the rates like? If we can’t do it that way, what would rates be like through other companies? Also, my husband is active duty Army and already has 0,000 of coverage, but should we get an additional policy for him as well since he’s not going career, or wait on it until his contract is over? I don’t know anything about this stuff and have no idea where to start, so any help would be great! Thanks!

I dont know too much about the healthcare debate, but my dad was telling me about when Clinton came into office, he forced companies to give people insurance plans even with pre existing conditions. and eventually, it made premiums sky rocket because i remember during the times when he was complaining to me about how expensive it was. will it happen again? I’m really curious to find out how this new health care plan is going to effect people that already have insurance.

Why does Health Insurance not pay for Chantix, to help people to stop smoking? I just recently got a prescription for Chantix to help me quit smoking, and insurance will not pay for it? The pharmacist told me that pretty much no insurance will pay for this. Why is it, we are told by scientists, doctors, media, and yes insurance that we need to stop smoking, but yet insurance will not pay o help us have a successful chance at quitting?

I got quoted by allstate for 1180/6 months for full coverage on a 2010 Toyota Corolla. I am 22 years old and have a pretty clean record, what the heck is going on?

Do most insurance companies forbid you from getting life insurance or make the premiums exceedingly high such that it’s unaffordable?
What are the typical monthly premiums for life insurance if you’re married to a modern Feminist?

My husband worked for a Teamsters Union for 24 years and is now back in the union. How can we find out what the value of his pension is?
The company he worked for filed for bankruptcy in 2003. So I could not contact them.

Anyone can say they are and they are under no obligation to prove it unless there is an incident. I am in TX. Is there any website where I can see if a company is really bonded and insured?
