My sister and I are co-trustees of the family trust set up to provide care for our parents. The trust documents indicate that upon the death of both beneficiaries, our parents, we are to inherit the monies in the trust. There are no other assets in the trust. Is this inheritance taxable? If so, can this inheritance be rolled into a new trust and avoid taxation?

My mom passed and I have two sisters, The oldest is the beneficiary, we are suppose to pay the funeral home back but she keep telling us the check havent cleared. I think she’s keeping it, it has been 2 weeks already.

How long does an insured have to file a suit against an insurer in CA?

My brother had an insurance for years. He became unemployed so he asked for a policy loan on his insurance. The agent which prepared the paper work left the company. We had to continue to call asking for an agent to come out to the house for payment. Eventually they sent out a new agent which accepted our payments for three months. She notice there were a outstanding balance on his account and she came back and said that the policy loan did not go through or was not posted. Now the company wants to re-write the policy as if it was just yesterday he obtain the policy. This will be a problem because now my brother has kidney problem and if they re-write the policy now it will show he has an illness which he did not have when he obtained the policy.

My question is: can they do this? shouldn’t his policy be re-instated just as it was when he first obtained the policy? If anything happen to him now concerning his kidneys they will not want to pay saying it was a pre-illness.

I work as a mechanic at a small trucking co. and they had an older tractor in a minor accident but the cost of the new radiator, a frame bracket , and a bumper plus labor, at a Peterbilt dealer is outrageous. The truck has a rebuilt engine and trans. and 00 worth of fresh tires,but its an ’85. Is the word "totaled" the right term? It would be a shame. I would like to have it and fix it myself.

I am thinking of switching auto insurance companies. I always get very low quotes from AAA, but I don’t know anyone that has AAA insurance and would like to hear some reviews from anyone that has used them.
If I don’t get any good reviews, I am thinking of switching to State Farm instead.
(both of them have lower rates than my current company)

Some companies have life insurance for their employees where their loved ones get money in case the employee dies. Can a company have a life insurance on their employee, without the employee knowing it, where the employer or company gets money in case the employee dies? Is this legal?
