My ex boyfriend’s father is terminally ill, with cancer. My ex is listed as the beneficiary of a 0,000 life insurance policy that he took out on his father a couple years back. When he gets that money, and he is paying child support, will our children be entitled to recieve a portion of what he is awarded after his father’s death. I didn’t know if they would or not, but I believe that I read somewhere that if my ex recieves any portion of income, what so ever, they are entitled to a cut of it. Is that true?

My employer offers a 401(a) pension plan to which they make contributions. I plan on enrolling in this so that I will get the max contribution from them. For other retirement savings, they also offer a tax-sheltered annuity 403(b) plan. Would it be better to contribute to a Roth IRA or participate in the 403(b) plan for my retirement savings?

Hi, Im 16 years old, going to get my license, and did parent taught drivers ed. All my life, ive wanted to drive, but now, I hear that car insurance for teenagers is so damn high. I heard it is at least 200 a month, and I know for a fact my parents cant afford that? What should I do? Some people I heard pay only 20 dollars a month, how the hell did they get suc ha low rate?

Also, Id like to drive a sports car, which im guessing is gonna make insurance way higher. So where can my parents get affordable insurance for me?

I recently was recruited to work at New York Life as a sales agent, and I am very interested in pursuing a career as a life insurance sales agent. Unfortunately, given my current financial obligations it would be very difficult to pursue a career where I would start out on a commisions only basis. I am wondering what, if any, base salary I could expect from a firm like New York life for my first year, if I am in a major metro area like SF.
