I had a boat stolen recently and am in the middle of making an insurance claim. They have assigned a private investigator to the case and he has asked to see all my banking details. Are they allowed to do this? It’s confidential information that i would rather not disclose. Thanks in advance.

I know the difference between term, whole, and universal policies, but what questions should I be asking to help determine which would be the best one for me?

I recently purchased an item on ebay and paid for insurance. The post office said it was delivered, but I never received it. Unfortunately, I believe the item was stolen since the postman said he left it outside my apartment door (which I believe he’s NOT supposed to leave items if there is insurance and I’m unavailable, but that’s a whole other issue). I filed a claim with USPS to get the funds back. Has anybody had to do this before and about how long did it take to settle? Thanks!

My father is a retired SFC/Active Duty Army. He passed away in 1987 & wife does collect from that. But, I was wondering if she can get her own life insurance through the military? If not, is USAA a good choice to go through or can you recommended better?

I (well my wife) just had a boy in September. I am selling my house and have made some equity on it. I want to take some of that money and invest it so that my boy will have some money to go to college. What is the best route that I should go?
The stock market scares me a little bit, I have thought about a CD but that is barely staying above inflation. I have also thought about variable life insurance. I have considered a Roth IRA, but I will want to take some of that money out to get him through college and whatever else comes up along the road.
I am leaning more towards variable life insurance, but if anyone has any advice I would love to hear it.

I have been asked to take a life insurance policy to ensure the well being of my dependants. I have a feeling that I do not really need it because I have enough to go round for them. I need to know if taking a life insurance policy is important.

They’re saying it will slow down the already enormous back log for pending claims. My dad’s claim was just approved yesterday. My father is in terrible health and my parents have been fighting for this for more than two years. Will the shutdown affect his claim, considering he’s already been approved?
Thanks for the one word answers – any details would be appreciated. My parents’ house is in foreclosure and Dad’s depression is at a breaking point. Trying to get some answers.
Thank you, tonalc2!
