I want to set up a 529 plan for my nephew. My brother plans on having more children, so rather than set up individual ones for each child can I have one ‘pool’ and all kids can draw from it?

my grand father just passed away and come to find out he had a life insurance policy. my grandmother told my brother and i we would be receiving money from the policy. my question is this… will getting this money affect my disability i receive?

I want a hamster and as a 12 year old with 4 pets already I need to raise all the money myself. I was wondering how much would it cost to own a russian dwarf hamster for its whole life? I was thinking about getting a chinese dwarf hamster but apparently they are not good with other hamsters and my brother will be getting a robo hamster.

My two-year-old brother dropped my brand-new, 00 Macbook Pro on the kitchen floor, and now there’s a very noticeable, sizable dent and the laptop will not power on. Can my parents file an insurance claim to cover the cost of this being replaced or repaired? My dad bought the laptop for me, but this happened at my mom and stepdad’s house, so I don’t know who should file what or how the process works.

My girlfriend is being urged by her mother to purchase life insurance. I’m very skeptical of this, and we’re wondering what to do. We are both 24. My girlfriend also has a brother with autism who cannot live alone. Is life insurance necessary, and if so, what type? The policy that her mom wants her to get is 00 per year and allows you to take out ,000 after some amount of years for medical expenses. Obviously it seems like a longshot that she or her brother will require large sums of money to pay for extravagant medical or other expenses in the future that normal insurance wouldn’t cover adequately. Plus we’re only 24. What’s the use in paying 00/year for the next 20 or 30 or 40 years with nothing happening? Also, everybody dies. Who needs life insurance when we already have IRAs and are putting in the max contributions every year? Any advice?

My sister is in hospice with pancreratic cancer..She does not have any life insurance , neither burial insurances, no bank account..Nothing!!! She has two grown kids with very good jobs, her grown daughter is unemployed..Still legally married but seperated for over 25 years..She has two sisters and a brother that is living..Her parents are deceased…OK, the delima is, who pays for the funeral expenses…Her kids expressed that they have no moral responsibility to pay for it and says that it is everybody responsibility..Help

I’ve never met this person but he is still my Uncle. He committed suicide before my brother and I were born. I am wondering all sorts of things like if he had a family and if he had addiction so many other things. I want to know more about him and his life. I have asked but no one wants to talk. For me its important. If anyone can help me in guiding me in the right direction of how to find out my answers I appreciate it a lot.

My brother got the medical examiners report back and he sent it in to the life insurance place. I was just wondering how long it usually takes them to start paying.

My dad smokes 2 packs a day and drinks a 6-12 pack of beer a day. We tried to get him help but he does not want it. Me and my brother talked and decided that the best thing to do is take out life insurance on him to pay for the funeral when that day comes. Would we be able to collect the insurance if my dad Overdoses or Commits Suicide. Not that we want this to ever happen but we also have to think about the future.

My mother is getting frail and is somewhat mentally helpless. My brother takes advantage of her and spends any excess she has left over from her pension each month. She will have nothing left to be buried. She gives the money to him, but he is a tremendous burden to her.

I’d like to start setting aside a small portion of her money for her eventual funeral expenses, but if I put money away in a savings my brother will get it. She won’t lie to him, and he will protest until he gets it.

Any ideas? I know nothing about funeral plans or anything like that.
