Basically all I have been hearing about lately is how costly car insurance is … What do I need to take into account in order to get a cheap quote? I’m heading towards the 1 ltr size etc. Also I live in England so preferably English people answering with prior experience.

I bought a used car a few months ago that had a near flawless finish. Over the past few months it’s been scratched several times by my nephew on his bike. We’ve talked and now I need to file a claim with my insurance. The marks are everywhere, back of the trunk, right rear quarter panel, hood, left rear quarter panel.

It seems like five or so accounts sprung up overnight. These accounts ask questions about car insurance in broken English, which mysteriously get answered at the last minute with links to other sites by accounts that were opened the same day. So, what is your theory–point-gaming, link-building, or other? And does it bug you that they’re in the wrong category, too?
Enjoy your 2 points everyone! Don’t worry, I’ll pick a real best answer.

with car insurance, for example, everyone who drives is required by law to have it, though the only thing it covers is like if you are in an accident or something major happens. But if you have to have work done on your car, you have to pay for that yourself. On the other hand, if you can’t afford car insurance or to take driving school or fees, no government program pays for it for you; you simply aren’t able to drive. And there are likewise no complaints from people about increased taxes to pay for other people’s car insurance . Now granted this is totally different scenario, but for the sake of argument let’s just compare that to health insurance, and say that health insurance only covered major things like life-or-death surgery, but if you just had a minor problem and wanted to see a healthcare provider, you had to pay for that yourself. If you had a problem with your car and didn’t want to or couldn’t pay to get it fixed, you just wouldn’t do it either, so follow me here. Also as is the case with car insurance, if you could not afford health insurance, you just couldn’t have it and there was no government program to cover the cost. I know how unruly this all sounds, but it is strictly for the sake of argument. The point is, if health insurance was like car insurance then there would be no complaints from people about increased taxes to pay for other people’s health insurance, because they wouldn’t be doing it, primary care costs would be under control, and people could still have affordable insurance to see a specialist in the event of a dire emergency. Has this been considered?

Also, Id like to drive a sports car, which im guessing is gonna make insurance way higher. So where can my parents get affordable insurance for me?

What insurance should I get? I’m in my late 20′s and I’d like to make sure that if anything were to happen to me that my husband and son are left with enough to continue to stay on their feet. The 30 year term is affordable, but the life expectancy of my great grandparents, grandparents and parents, across the board is at least over 65. I’m as healthy as an ox now, but I know that diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol run in my family. I’m very active so I have no signs of any disease related to heart disease. It’s a fear that I’ve had since I was a kid and it’s the main reason why I stay active. That being said, what should I get? I already have 2 cars and condo insurances through State Farm so I’d get something like 17% off my car insurance. I’m struggling to figure out which policy to choose. I need some insight.

I am wanting the benefits of AAA, but I don’t need more car insurance. Is it a monthly fee to have the benefits, or do you HAVE to have their insurance for it?
I want to pay for the benefits before driving across country in a few months in case something messes up with the car.
Thanks!
Wow! So the membership is just a yearly fee, not monthly. It won’t cost 4 a month for the AAA, only once for the whole year of Premier service?

For what reasons, if any would they have to sue you if you decide to cancel your car insurance mid term?
