He uses an insulin pump. He also just got laid off from his job recently. He did not have health insurance to begin with so COBRA is not available. He lives in New York State. Any suggestions where he might get some assistance with affordable medications or insurance?
Yes we can add our children to an older age, and add a spouse who has special conditions but the price for these policies is so expensive that a working person cannot afford them. Cobra payments are out of this world and not affordable if you don’t have a job…What is the Democratic anser to this.
I read somewhere that cobra payments were fixed for 12 months, from time of onset. If this was illegal who should I contact, as I have been paying almost twice as much since the new plan period kicked in, for five months now, and it occurrs to me that maybe I have been making overpayments? Since this is federally mandated, am I entitled to an reimbursement? And, if I am who should I report this to, I don’t think the former employer is going to be eager to admit wrongdoing, and offer me a reimbursement?
I posted a youtube race in which a 04 cobra with nothing other then a supercharger swap smoke a stock 07 z06 vette. The mustang was so much faster then the vette that 2 chevy guys actually said there was no way the stang only had a supercharger swap. Hate to break it to you guys, but yes that is all it had. The guy is my friend, and he has the supercharger swap with the smaller pulleys that come with it, bigger fuel injectors and a tune. Thats it. It is a well know fact to anyone that has any racing experience at all that the 03/04 cobras with nothing other then a kenne bell or whipple swap can run low 10 second 1/4 miles. You can see it for yourself at any track in america on any given weekend. I will even post a site below that proves it to you. It has all the actual dyno info. 617rwhp with nothing more then a supercharger swap and the small supporting components. Ask any Chevy guy with racing experience, he will tell you the same.
The real chevy racers respect the 03/04 cobras like the real ford racers respect the corvette z06′s. Take a 2002 z06 and put a supercharger on it and you better have some serious respect for that vette!
heres the whippled cobra against the 07 z06 vette, watch the vette driver "bow down" to the cobra at the very end of the video

heres a kenne bell cobra against a z06
Like I said above, this isnt B.S. or anything like that. I just wanted to share some info with the people that actually have a life and dont spend half of there life at the track like I do. If you doubt all that I have said and shown, go to any track in america or ask any guy that works at any dyno shop and you will either see or hear exactly the same as you have seen and heard here. The cobra come from the factory with a "built" motor. This means there engines have all forged internal parts so they are capable of handling up to 1000hp. For those of you that dont know, rwhp is Rear Wheel Horse Power. The number you get from the factory is fly wheel horse power. Its simple physics, the 07 z06 weighs around 3300lbs and makes 505 fly wheel hp which is equal to around 450rwhp. The 03/04 cobra (with the supercharger swap) weighs around 3600lbs and makes 617rwhp(or around 700 flywheel hp). Thats about 177 more rwhp then the z06, more then enough to make up for the 300lbs.
JEFF A—
I agree with you 100% and appologize for having to post "street races". I do not in any way support street racing and wish I would have video taped last weekend at the track. I have just posted this street racing to show the potential of the 03/04 cobras and wont be posting anymore street racing. The track is absolutely the only place where you should race and this weekend I will be recording racing from the track and will only post that in the future. Monday, I will post some races so you guys can see some more cobras and vettes in action.
EDIT–
I said earlier that one of the races was a friend of mine, it is not, I cant find the race on you tube that was the guy I know. (he is an internet friend I know from a mustang club, I do not live in the same state as him)
LOL svo man, good point, just give us a wave as you go by

sorry, did we hurt your feelings, truth hurts doesnt it. The brag is that you can whoop a ,000 z06 with a ,000 04 cobra with a 00 supercharger swap. So for a total cost of ,500 you can smoke a ,000 z06. Your comment makes no sense. The cobra is the only ,000 car on the planet that completely stock with nothing more then switching superchargers, can beat lambos, farrari’s, vipers, z06′s. To make your z06 keep up with the cobra it would cost you an additional 00. Thats something to brag about, "my ,000 car can keep up with your ,500 car if I added a supercharger, woo hoo!!!"
npftech–
i just read your post again, wow. You dont see people get as hurt as you did unless we hit the nail right on the head. We could take the supercharger off the 04 cobra and if we had ,000 to put in to the motor without a supercharger, the cobra would smoke the z06 without a supercharger. The price for the power and how easy it is to make a 04 cobra faster then a z06 is the point here. In the future, dont let the truth hurt and scare you so much, then you wont get as upset.
A) Shoot both the politician and the cobra
B) Shoot the politician twice to make sure he is down and dead
C) Shoot the cobra twice
D) Other suggestions.
I need some help regarding an injury/disability I got before I got laid off. The crux of the problem is that I was injured (ankle) before getting laid off, but the doctor I went to under-diagnosed the injury and said I was fine to walk and go to work and just had to wear a brace. An HR person asked me about it and I basically told them what the doctor said and that I didn’t need to go on disability insurance. Then they downsized and I was laid off. Well a few months later the injury kept getting worse and now I’m on my second back to back surgery to repair it a year later.
My question is, since the injury happened while I was employed, am I able to go back to the company and ask for disability benefits even though the wrong diagnosis was made during the job and the full diagnosis was made only after the lay off? Is it possible to make a claim now or is it too late?
I know I should have acted sooner but I couldn’t help that I was under-diagnosed and didn’t realize the full extent of the injury until after (and the surgery recovery was also much longer than expected). If I can show I was seeking help for the injury before getting laid off will that qualify me for retroactive disability benefits?
Fortunately I had COBRA to cover the surgeries, but I have not had any income this whole time and am running low on savings for living expenses. I don’t think I can get unemployment benefits because I am pretty confined to my house and can’t go to interviews or the unemployment office easily. I’ve heard there are social security disability benefits but I believe they are only for very long term chronic conditions. Please help!
I have anterior pelvic tilt and after looking for ways to reduce it, i came upon the cobra pose in yoga, What seems to eliminate my anterior pelvic tilt is when i do the cobra pose in a wide legged stance.. is there a name for this position in yoga?
I as laid off in mid February (a little over 4 months ago). At the time I only chose to have COBRA for health insurance. I never thought I’d still be out of work when it came time for dental checkups, but that time is now coming up. So can I change my COBRA plan to now include dental coverage, or is it too late?
My husband was laid off and we went on cobra, in the mean time we found out our son needs tubes in his ears. The surgery is September 3rd and now my husband got a job and insurance will go into effect Set. 1. We are worried that they may consider this a preexisting condition and that our doctors may not be in the new network. We are wondering if we may have to reschedule the surgery for when we are more established with the new insurance.
Of all types of Insurance that people need and get, it seems that there is more confusion about Life Insurance than any other kind of insurance. So many questions come up as to this subject and it is difficult to know the answers.
Some of the questions people have are whether or not they need life insurance in the first place, how much insurance they should purchase, as well as which kind of policy they should get.
The main reason people purchase life insurance in the first place is to replace the income of that the person who is insured in case of their death. That way, the person who is the beneficiary on the policy, like their husband or wife, will not be left without any type of income that they have depended on. If you have children that depend upon your income for support, you should consider getting life insurance.
If you are a younger person, say from age 25 to around 35 or if you are single and without any children, then you probably don't need any life insurance. However, if you are single parent or a stay at home parent, you might want to consider getting a policy.
A stay at home parent could believe that it isn't really
important to get life insurance, as they don't earn an income, but if you think about the huge expense that it would be if they had to hire someone to do all of the tasks they do now, it would be considerable. Or if you had a special needs family member at home, living with you, it would cost a lot of money to hire a person to to the daily errands, cooking, cleaning and so on that you now do for that person.
Life insurance for a stay at home parent would allow the family to hire people in the event of your death to continue doing all of those daily tasks that you were formerly doing for the family members.
You would calculate the amount needed for a life insurance policy based on the amount of money you earn now and what is needed to replace that income in the event of your death.
What are the types of life insurance?
There is Term Life Insurance. This kind of a policy is for a certain set term or period of time. You pay monthly toward the coverage and at the end of the term, you do not collect any sum of money, but you are fully covered in case of death for the duration of that term.
Whole Life Insurance is different. A Whole Life policy is when you are fully insured for the entire period of your life.
The money paid into this policy is placed in an investment fund and usually the premium remains the same in the beginning but usually is increased after the first few years.
This kind of policy is more expensive but the benefit is that there is a payout.
You need to carefully calculate the sum insured. You should calculate your assets and debts value and also compare your annual income and expenses. Then find out how much amount your family will need to have so they do not face a financial crisis if something should happen to you.
