They’re saying it will slow down the already enormous back log for pending claims. My dad’s claim was just approved yesterday. My father is in terrible health and my parents have been fighting for this for more than two years. Will the shutdown affect his claim, considering he’s already been approved?
Thanks for the one word answers – any details would be appreciated. My parents’ house is in foreclosure and Dad’s depression is at a breaking point. Trying to get some answers.
Thank you, tonalc2!

I am insured on my grandparent’s policy and my car belongs to them and is on their policy so it is legal. My car, however, is incapacitated at the moment and I am living with my parents now. I am an insured driver and all of my parent’s cars are insured. Can I drive one of their cars and still have coverage? If I got into an accident in one of their cars, would it still be insured? I need to settle a dispute with my dad so input is very much appreciated.

There are two variables to this story:
My dad is Brazilian, living in Brazil with no ties to the US
I am Brazil-American living in the US.
Can I buy an insurance policy for him here in the US, even if he lives in Brazil?
Can I buy an insurance policy in Brazil for him?
He’s too hard-headed and doesn’t want to do this buy himself.

I live in California and i recently got my drivers license. I am 17 and still in high school. My dad says i can’t drive because i’m not insured even though the car i’m gonna be driving is insured. If i crash what would happen? My friends tell me that only the car needs insurance for me to drive. Who’s right?

I’m moving to Alaska in January and will be needing health insurance. Is there any cheap insurance there or something you can get based on your income? I will be getting a job eventually, but I need something before that and if the job is only part-time. My dad had lived there all his life and I will be moving in with him. Does that make a difference with anything?

My boyfriend of 2 years is a 26 year old commercial pilot and flight instructor (hopefully airlines soon). We plan to get married in the next year or two. I was thinking that I should take out life insurance on him since we’ve lived together for the 2 years we’ve been together. My dad is a pilot too, and a lot of his friends have died flying over the years. Currently my boyfriend is one of my beneficiaries on my policy I get through work.
Does anyone have any advice about doing this? Are there any good companies that specialize in these types of scenarios?
Thanks for the info! He has about 1,200 hours, and I know he has his CFI, CFII, MER.
We live in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

I am writing this on behalf of my mother. My parents are still married (she is in her early 50′s) and my dad is 75. She already has 90K universal life on her husband through metlife, and was told that without a physical they would only be able to increase it maybe 10k. My father REFUSES a physical and just seems bitter about helping her with obtain life insurance so there is no way in convincing him otherwise. What would you recommend as far as companies? He is still in good health. She is looking for a company with the max she could get for life insurance. She is self employed.
ALso she has insurance on herself for 90k too. (but most likely she will outlive my father since she is older than him) but she is now realizing that the policy amount is very little.

We are looking for term Life insurance for my dad
-He is 48 years old.
-He drinks occasionally
-Tobacco user
-full time Truck driver
-Has Type 2 Diabetes (Right now its not in control he had high Hcl results last time he got his lab done )
-He applied for New york life insurance and they denied his application coz of high blood sugar results )
so what company can provide him good coverage with affordable price or its just impossible for Diabetes patient to get a life insurance ?
what are the high rating insurance companies out there ? I searched online but when it comes to reviews every company has 50/50 good and bad reviews .doN’T KNOW HAT TO DO.!
