My husband is retired from the coast guard and on disability, due to service related condition. We have tried to appeal with the VA but they keep turning us down for the last 4 years. his disability has increased so it seems his percentage should also change. anyone have any ideas??
already tried to talk with a lawyer, per the bar association in the greater tampa bay area there are no lawyers who pratice concerning the VA.

I applied for disability back in 08 and am waiting to receive the final decision in the mail…Someone told my wife that our children could have been receiving monthly benefits since I applied…I find it hard to beleive and can’t find anything suggesting it on the official SS web site…But the person who told this to my has a disabled husband…

Applied for disability in August 2009, was denied so appealed decision in November 2009, went to see appelate judge in June 2010 but still haven’t received a response yet. It’s been almost 90 days since we’ve seen the judge. Does anyone know how long the judge usually take to make a decision?

I have an old knee injury which occured in 2003. I’ve had an AFLAC disability and accident policy since July of last year. My knee has been acting up and has made doing my job difficult at best, and I was wondering if my doctor took me off work if AFLAC would pay me. ANY information is greatly appreciated.

I got carpal tunnel while working for a company, they sent me to have surgery on one hand but refused to send me for the other hand. The company is now out of business and filed for bankruptcy. My carpal tunnel is worse. I have very limited use of my right arm, I am unemployed, un able to work because of my carpal tunnel and can not afford to go to the doctor to qualify for disability.
