My boyfriend has done something really dumb. Recently his brother’s house was broken into and robbed. His xbox and a few games were stolen. He was able to report them missing and be reimbursed by his insurance agency.
Just a few days ago, someone broke into my boyfriend’s apartment and stole a few movies. (Surprising that they didn’t take the xbox, playstation 3 and either one of the flatscreen TV’s). I don’t know whose decision it was, but my boyfriend and his roommate decided to take out their xbox and playstation 3 and leave them at the next door neighbor’s apartment. They then called the police.
When the police arrived they knocked on the neighbor’s door only to find the consoles there in plain site. My boyfriend and his roommate were issued citations for a class 3 misdeameanor.
My question is this: My boyfriend has a clean record, has never done anything like this in his life and is in the middle of a custody battle so he can’t afford to go to jail, especially when we’ve built up such a good case. He really is a good person, so I don’t want to hear crap, just a serious answer. The max. sentence could be a 0 fine OR 6 months in jail. Are these likely to happen if it’s his first offense?
We’re in the capitol of CO if that helps.
I’m worried and need help, thanks.

The insurance agency is located in Texas.. however I’m trying to think of a name that won’t have "Texas" in it.. because hopefully in the future the agency will go national and it needs something unique. Have any suggestions?

Listen carefully, the police did file a report, no tickets were given, the other guy is not suing, doesn’t matter who’s fault it is or the legality, i just want to know if my insurance agency will find out if i don’t report it. (lets assume the other guy does not contact my insurance agency).
Let’s pretend for a second that the only record that exists of the fender bender is the police report, and that the other party’s not going to make a claim later on, is there anyway the insurance agency will find out at all.

Hi Everybody! I have been in the field for about 5 years, and would like to start an insurance agency. I need to know what I might need, for the state of Georgia, in terms of filing, E/O, LLC, and any permits. Please be as detailed as you can and any info is appreciated! Also, how much startup money would you recommend?

I am purchasing a new car and for the first time car insurance. I’ve been shopping around online and Progressive Direct has the best rates for me. I also looked at getting Progressive through an insurance group in my area, which would cost more per month for the same amount of coverage. Would it be worth the extra per month to get the insurance through an insurance agency in my area?
Have you had any good or bad experiences with Progressive Direct car insurance?

If someone caused an accident and filed a report the next day, only to find out that the person they hit has yet to report it. A) Will the insurance agency get a copy of the report? B) Will the accident go on the person’s driving record?
Additional Information: Accident took place in IN. Driver is from IL. The damage is valued at less than 00.
Thank you for your responses.

I am nineteen years old, when I turn 21, I come into some money. I wish to purchase an annuity, and from what I’ve read, I wont be getting very much.
I would prefer to immediately receive the income but would be okay with deferring for ten years or so.
I don’t really need or expect to get any more than 0 a month, but with my age that could be very pricey with an insurance agency.
How much should I expect to pay as my lump sum?

Unfortunately, while trying to park my car in a tight Boston parking lot today, I scraped another car’s back left fender with my front right. The damage is minor, but I got worried and immediately called my insurance agency and left a note on his car with my phone number, etc. Seeing as it was a parked car that I tapped, I put a claim through easily – however, now that I reconsider it, that was probably a very stupid thing to do.
If, when the owner of the other car calls, I offer to pay for the damages out of pocket, would my insurance record be hit anyways?
Forgot to mention a few pertinent details: I’m 20 years old, female, have never had any traffic violations or been in any accidents of any kind before, and live in Massachusetts.
My deductible is k – thank you for the sound advice!

I am currently working for a good insurance agency and want to transform it into an outstanding one. Any tips for what we should do differently? We are already very successful ( mill in annual revenue) but want to bring it to the next level. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
