Basically what I would like to know is what is the ROI on an insurance policy for an insurance agent.

If i buy 20 year term insurance policy and my spouse passes away before that, do i still have to pay on the policy for the remaining 20 years? How does this work? Thanks
There are two variables to this story:
My dad is Brazilian, living in Brazil with no ties to the US
I am Brazil-American living in the US.
Can I buy an insurance policy for him here in the US, even if he lives in Brazil?
Can I buy an insurance policy in Brazil for him?
He’s too hard-headed and doesn’t want to do this buy himself.
My husband had a stroke in ’08 and an insurance policy we had was paid out to him. It is to be used for medical bills of course. My question is… Do we have to claim it on our ’09 Federal and State Tax Return?
Correction: Do we claim it on our ’08 return?
I am confused, some people say yes some no. I understand it this way, correct me if I am wrong:
If I buy a policy on my own life, I become the owner of the policy. As the owner, I can name anyone as beneficiary… even a stranger! But only someone who has an "insurable interest" can purchase an insurance policy on my life.
Conclusion:
I buy the policy I choose the beneficiary, if someone buys a policy on my life, they have to have an insurable interest.
Is this correct?
I am 19yrs old and I am getting a car. I know that insurance rates depend on te style of the car but for example I am going to get a Nissan Maxima ’04
I will be signing an insurance policy on my own not with my parents.. what is your advice? should I go with State Farm or AllState?
I asked a question a while back about how long you had to claim an insurance policy.
Looks like there is no time limitation.
I should have been more clear.
These are the little life insurances that you get for free with some credit cards.
About ,000 to ,000 for free (nothing you pay for – just a benefit).
I also was questioning for the ones that you get free from work.
Also, some credit unions give you a bit of free insurance just for opening an account in the hopes that you will sign up for more.
I got one good answer from someone mrcatz
But two other answers stated something about the interest growing.
And now I’m confused.
What do they mean by interest growing?
I imagine they are talking about those whole life policies.
But once you stop paying the premium, wouldn’t these policies cancell?
Someone would get a bill, and realize that there is life insurance out there and claim it.
I was inquriing more towards the ones that you might not know about and have no knowldege of, since it can take a serious amount of time to find them in all the paperwork.
These types don’t pay interest since they are freebies – right?
Grand Theft , possessing stolen property, recieving stolen property. County Prosecutor dropped charges after I already posted bond. Evidently police department, of original false report, felt it was not a criminal charge, and that it might be civil. I don’t know how to get this arrest for a felony off my record and I also have an FBI number. Everyone is acting like it’s over, but my property is still in car of the woman I was purchasing the car from. We were in contract writing, i had registration and her insurance policy, And I paid her 275.00 cash, she said she would have that placed in contract and did not give me reciept. Also, police report claims it was stolen out of her yard, when I picked it up from the other side of town. she filed on Jan. 5, and emailed the person who I was going through to get vehicle.up until the 9th. It was shortly after this that police department detectives felt it was a civil matter. Why wouldn’t they ask her if she reported it to her insurance company. Why wasn’t this investigated prior to being put on SVS.
In my first question, i mentioned the woman who filed the false stolen vehicle report, never mentioned to the police that contract was being written and she continued to want the papers with her signature only notarized, as well as accusing the person she accused of stealing the vehicle (someone she dated), gave his address, phone number, yet he was never notified or questioned. I asked for a copy of report after I got out of county, an arraignment was done, bail posted, and it was going to Grand Jury. That was when prosecutor dropped charges.
My homeowner’s insurance policy expired on March 1, 2008. After comparing rates I decide to go with another insurance company. I explained my situation with my former agent prior to the expiration date. Now my old insurance company wants to charge TWO MONTHS (through the end of May) of additional insurance which I did not agree to pay. They claim that I should have FAXed to my agent a formal letter stating that I was going with another insurance company. They are now demanding to see my current insurance declaration page to determine exactly when my present insurance became effective. They also threatening to send my bill to a collections company.
Why should I agree to this nonsense? They raised their rates and I went with another company. Why should I provide any information to my former insurance company? Insurance is not mandatory in life. It is only my business from who and when I purchase insurance.
Am I right or wrong? What would you do?
The term of my old policy was March 1, 2007 to March 1, 2008. I paid 100% of this amount. The question is for additional charges AFTER March 1, 2008.
What would be the worst thing that could happen if I tell them to take a hike?
1) I own my house – no mortgage here so it is in my right to decide whether or not I want insurance
2) My declaration page shows that the new coverage went into effect on March 14th.
3) If I faxed this page then I WOULD have to pay.
4) It is still none of their business.
My boyfriend and I got into an accident, where he was at fault. Although he was the driver, the car’s mine and I’m insured under it. I’ve already filed an insurance claim and I’m getting an appraisal right now. The car had extreme damage to the front (hood crushed, bumper torn out, headlights busted, grille pushed in, radiator cracked, and antifreeze liquid leeking out). The car is a 2006 Toyota Avalon w/ 24,000 miles on it. Is it possible that it’s totaled?
It’s been days since the accident and we’re both suffering back and neck pain. If we go to a chiropractor, how will the insurance money be paid out? Also, how does the Personal Injury Protection coverage work? Is it the same as pain & suffering? Do you ever come up short with money for the bills? I’m real clueless as to how this ordeal will work out. Help!
Also, we both have Allstate. Is there any way to transfer this to his insurance policy since he was the driver?
