I’m considering a job selling life insurance. Just wondering how stressful it is and if it is hard to learn the ins and outs of the policy products, jargon, etc.

Thanks

My cousin Danielle has recently developed cirrhosis, as the result of a pre-existing condition. Unfortunately, she is only twenty-four years old and has no health insurance and currently has no job, though she is seeking one. I would like to ask on her behalf – if there are options out there for someone in her position and with her condition. I know that the complications and problems arising for a person in her situation are staggering, to say the least and that most health insurance companies will automatically deny help to someone in her position. But I would like to know if there could be some disabilty pension or another type of health insurance that may still be an option?

Currently, because my cousin has no job – she lives off SSDI checks and unemployment benefits every month – so she lives roughly on 0 dollars a month, after taxes and paying for living expenses.

Please I would appreciate any professional or personal experiences or constructive advice. Thank you very much.

I work for an ins. agent as a salesperson selling insurance. Its a small agency. He just hired a friend…& told her she’s going to make his life alot easier. I was doing everything before she was hired and I kind of resent hearing that. He’s also been more distant to me. Also, he’s been complaining about not having time to train me………I’ve only been there 2 months…..I think he thinks this girl he hired is smarter than me……(he even made a comment that "she can do this already") but she just started this week and there’s no guarantee she’ll be able to sell or not goof up on aspects of the job. Is he planning on replacing me with her or am I just paranoid?

Aflac agent, is it a good company to work for?

Isaw an ad for Aflac, independent agents.
Anyone here has worked for this company?
I know many companies that use them, but is it a good company to work for?
Is it commission? Do you have to recruit? Is it like a pyramid job?

Thanks

Here is the situation:
My son is seven and severely autistic. He lives with his mom (we are divorced). As part of our agreement, I take care of his health insurance and medical bills, co-pays and things related to his medical care.
I pay for insurance for him thru my employer, around 0 a month, just for him. However, although it is pretty good for office visits, it is really bad for hospital. Because he is autistic, he has to be knocked out for some procedures that he wouldn’t normally be knocked out for. Recently he incurred a 00 bill, which the insurance company wont pay because he already maxed out his hospital indemnity for the year. I feel that the time has come to provide him with some sort of hospital indemnity, but I can’t find any that I can actually afford. I don’t make very much, I make enough to pay his regular health insurance and his child support, and the occasional doctor bill. But I don’t make enough to pay the huge premiums that a regular hospital indemnity plan has.
To add another wrinkle, I live in New York, he lives with his mom in Connecticut, she is the one who brings him to the doctor/hospital, I’m just the one who pays for it, which I am happy to do.
But the problem is, that anything available with NY, only covers providers in NY.
CT wont work with me because i do not live there.
Am I screwed (as in I have to pay 900 per month in hospital insurance), or is there something I can do?

By the way, I make about 000 per year, not a lot for New York.

I just want to provide the best care for my son, but I need something I can actually afford
Dueoct16: His mom is married to an Certified Public Accountant, she also has a job which pays quite well, but would cost a lot to put him on her plan. I like paying his insurance, makes me feel like his dad. Plus I don’t want to ask my ex for anything, she would take it as me not being able to properly insure my son.
