I don’t really undrstand how it will work out. The lawyer told me that I will leave out his office a happy lady. But I lost my car in this acident , and the insurance company only gave me the NADA value which was in poor condititon because it was totaled. So far my medical expenses range from 2720 to 2800 dollars. Can some one just please give me a little more insite. Also I’m going for my pain and suffering also. Thanks for the advice.

My husband is retired from the coast guard and on disability, due to service related condition. We have tried to appeal with the VA but they keep turning us down for the last 4 years. his disability has increased so it seems his percentage should also change. anyone have any ideas??
already tried to talk with a lawyer, per the bar association in the greater tampa bay area there are no lawyers who pratice concerning the VA.

I was just of offered settlement through California Workman’s comp… they offered me 5000 dollars for a 5% rating. During the time I was unable to work I stacked up over 8000 dollars in debt. Should I accept the first offer go for more? I heard people very seldom except the first offer. What is the process of asking for more? I don’t have a lawyer and really don’t want one. Any advice?

Wheb a relative dies in Canada and after burial, how soon afterwards are the beneficiaries notified of any inheritance? This is a correction of the previous question and spelling.
Reply to answer. The executor and the lawyer has the will, so how long from that point on?

The Beneficiary has requested a certain amount of funds for purchasing a property. The trustee is attempting to withhold the funds. Pursuing this in court. How do I prove that they are attempting to withhold it wrongfully, do I need a lawyer for probate court, and within in the very same case, I need to get the trustee removed.

Hi,

I was recently in a car acident(I was NOT at fault). Our vehicle was totaled , the guy hit us from behind, our car flipped, slid upside down across the road into the ditch where is rolled twice.

There were three people in our vehicle, all of which made it out ok.
The injuries so far we dont seem to be life threatning, but we all for sure do have whiplash, basic bruises, and concussed. My mother is getting her arm checked because she can not move it, and I have a torn cartilage or so i think, but will find out today.

Because of the new law in Ontario we cant be compensated enless the injuries and loss of income and such exceed ,000. And even if they do the first ,000 will not be compensated.
I was actually fired from my job, it was to be my first day on the job the day my accident took place. But because of the time needed to recover they let me go. This was a job agency and they said they have to fill the role, even though the company I was going to be working for said I could come back when I was healthy.

I am out a job now but cant do anything about it because my loss of wages dont exceed ,000.

Not to mention we owe ,000 on the vehicle and our insurance will only give us ,000.

I have talked to a lawyer and he basically said we cant get anything from this. So we were victims, the guy that hit us has had a history of this sort of thing. License suspensions, un paid tickets and cant even have his own insurance anymore. Not to mention he lied through his teeth and said we were at fault and that someone else was driving the vehicle. Considering he sat on the side of the road and WATCHED ME get my GF and MOTHER out of the car. He is scum!

Is there anything that can be done. I’m not looking to get rich, my basic concern is getting enough to just pay off my car and help out with living expenses until I can get back to work.

If anyone can give me some advice I would really appreciated because the way the system is now, even though we were victims. We end up suffering and paying out way more then the person at fault!

Ok here is my issue me and my wife bought furniture through a company called furniture row. They use a credit agency called HSBC I am sure everyone has heard of them. We bought this furniture because we had none and was getting started in the married life. I have learned PAY CASH. anyway here is the issue we had all of our furniture stolen and we have a police report. We were told through the furniture company that we had signed up for DEBT Cancellation that would cancel all our debt on the card. We were told we would not have to pay anything for 2 years. We recieved statements that said we owed .00 dollars once we called HSBC they said we were suppose to be paying 25.00 monthly for insurance and it did say on the statement at the top in small letters that it was 25.00 for insurance, but at the bottom it said we owe .00 dollars. We have delt with this for 3 years and we have been told by a lawyer that we could leave it alone for 8 years and HSBC can’t do anything. HELP PLEASE

Has anyone had a positive experience when settling their workmans comp case and using their private insurance. Fell 3 years ago hurt my back. Suing third party for damages. Dr says no good, Lawyer says best thing.

I was rear-ended by another car. I reported to the insurance company of the person who hit me that my neck was a little sore. They offered me 0 to sign a release form without me even asking. I told the claims adjuster I needed to think about it. Short of getting a lawyer, what could I expect to be offered? I am sure insurance companys have a set amount that they will pay to get me to sign the release form. Anyone know about how much that would be?
